First week placement

First week has finished and now starting my second! The majority of last week was meet and greet, we had 2-3 photography sessions which took us through an in depth look at photography. We also had the chance to get a taster of some very easy video editing. By the end of the week we had made a visit to Exeter campus to have a look at the other division of Peninsula, again more of a meet and greet. The highlight of the week was friday when we went to the Tamser science park, where there is a dedicated building to Peninsula, there they have CT scan machines, PET machines and random doctors walking around. For the size of the building there are 6 staff and 20 students. The way the computers are now able to manipulate the body in full 3D which is specific to the persons body, its phenomenal! I dont quite understand the wait that patients go through, the scan itself takes about 30 mins max depending on how tall you are.
